Brothers On Farms is Animal Welfare Approved and AGW Certified 100% Grass Fed! Our Pasture Raised Lambs are given no antibiotics, hormones or steroids and no medicated feeds. They are on pasture year round, drink fresh mountain water and breath the crisp mountain air. Our processed lamb is USDA Inspected and sold by whole, halves and cuts.
Grass Fed Lamb
2014 was our first year of lamb harvest. We doubled our production in 2015. In 2016 we received our 100% AFW Grass Fed certification. We anticipate a huge production year with our winter lambs who were fed only quality hay and fermented Alfalfa over the winter rendering the meat with a natural sweetness. "With cancer and auto immune disorders running rampant in the world, people are beginning to realize the importance of knowing where their food comes from and how that food was produced. Most people need meat protein for a healthy diet. Congress just passed a law removing the 'country of origin' label from grocery store meat products. Without certification programs like AGW, not only do we not know what that animal has been fed but where it came from. Both Mexico and China use the steroid clenbuterol in their meat animals and recently the NFL warned it's players not to eat meat from those countries as it is showing up in some payers drug tests. My clients have asked for grass fed lamb and I want to provide them what they want. By being certified they don't have to take my word for it. They can rest assured they are getting what they paid for."
Shiitake mushrooms are famous for their rich texture and smoky flavor. They are a good source of copper, iron and contain essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy heart. Right behind copper is pantothenic acid and selenium, which provide 52% and 51% of the daily value, respectively. Riboflavin, niacin, zinc, and manganese play supportive roles, along with ergothioneine, an antioxidant that inhibits oxidative stress. All of our spore comes from a certified organic producer.
